We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Market Data Licensing Analyst to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in market data licensing, vendor management, and compliance who thrives in a fast-paced financial services environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing relationships with exchanges, index providers, and market data vendors while helping optimize market data governance, and licensing compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Review, negotiate, and manage agreements with market data vendors, exchanges, and index providers.
  • Analyze and interpret key contractual provisions, including licensing restrictions, derived data rights, redistribution rights, and reporting obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing terms, exchange policies, and market data reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison with vendors, exchanges, and data providers to manage subscriptions, pricing, renewals, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor changes in exchange policies, licensing structures, and vendor pricing models that may impact the organization.
    Identify opportunities to optimize licensing models, and improve governance processes,.
  • Partner with internal business, compliance, legal, procurement, and technology teams to support accurate data usage reporting and policy adherence.
  • Support market data audits, internal reviews, and governance initiatives by providing subject matter expertise and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD required.
  • 3–6 years of experience in market data licensing.
  • Strong understanding of market data providers and exchange licensing models, including platforms such as Bloomberg, LSEG/Refinitiv, ICE, FactSet, and all major exchanges.
  • Experience negotiating vendor agreements and managing strategic vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with market data compliance concepts, including entitlements, derived data, reporting obligations, and non-display usage.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with SQL or other data analysis/reporting tools is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
