Management Team
Tom Jordan, President and CEO, founded Jordan & Jordan in 1990. From 1985-1990, he was the Managing Director of Knight-Ridder Financial/Americas. Prior to this, he was the Chairman of Monchik-Weber, a Wall Street consulting and product development firm. He also held development and marketing positions at IBM. Prior to his business career, Tom served as an officer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the 1st Cavalry Division and the 1st Infantry Division.
Tom actively participates in many industry initiatives. He is the Advisory Chair of the Financial Information Forum, SIFMA Market Data Committee member, RTTM Advisory Committee member, and a member of the advisory committee of the Consolidated Tape Association (CTA) and the Unlisted Trading Privileges (UTP) plan. Tom holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Saint Peter's College and a MS in Industrial Administration from Union College in Schenectady, NY. He is a member of the Board of Regents of St. Peter's College.
Mary Lou Von Kaenel, Managing Director, Management Consulting, draws from more than 30 years of experience in the securities industry to offer clients a wide range of consulting services from strategic planning and product implementation to process improvement and vendor selection. With broad knowledge of activities from beginning to end of the trade lifecycle and appreciation for the differences across asset classes, Lou's work has supported clients in their efforts to meet the challenges presented by a changing market environment and competitive landscape, and the effects of increased regulation. She has completed numerous assignments that required her expertise in project management, market research, business requirements analysis, workflow automation, and reference data management. Through her practical, hands-on experience and involvement in key industry initiatives including projects sponsored by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), Lou is particularly knowledgeable about fixed income trading, processing, clearing and settlement practices. For FIX Protocol Ltd's Global Fixed Income Committee, Lou chairs the Business Practices Sub-Committee, and in that capacity has been a key contributor to the FIX protocol for fixed income.
Prior to joining Jordan & Jordan, Lou held senior management positions, responsible for Strategic Planning and Business Development for divisions within Thomson Financial and Standard & Poor's. She also has experience on the dealer side of the business having been in fixed income trading and sales in previous years. Lou is a graduate of Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY, and holds an MBA from New York University.
Manisha Kimmel, Executive Director of the Financial Information Forum, provides dedicated leadership to the association. Manisha's appointment in March 2005 represents a renewed focus on FIF's strategic growth as financial information issues take on increasing relevance in all aspects of the securities industry. Prior to this role, Manisha worked on numerous engagements assisting firms in making strategic and technology decisions across the trade process in her capacity as Senior Industry Consultant for Jordan & Jordan. She also held positions at ADP in their Strategic Investments group within their brokerage division.
In addition to completing coursework at Stanford's Learning, Design and Technology program, Manisha has a BS in Finance and Information Systems from the Wharton School and a BS in Systems Engineering with a focus in Telecommunications from the University of Pennsylvania.
Leo Vozel, Managing Director, Market Data, has over fifteen years of market data experience. Leo is recognized worldwide as possessing a thorough knowledge of global market data distribution and usage policies and practices, having built key relationships with global exchange and vendor contacts over the years. He has managed projects related to market data distribution, exchange compliance and exchange market data pricing and repackaging. As a recognized authority in exchange market data policies, Leo represented the vendor community for fifteen years on the Executive Committee of the FISD and was Co-Chair of its Business Issues Advisory Committee (BIAC).
Prior to joining Jordan & Jordan, he spent six years with Dow Jones Markets/Telerate, with global responsibility for managing all contractual, compliance, audit and business and marketing relationships for over 150 exchanges. Leo has a BA degree in Economics from Columbia and an MBA in Marketing from NYU.
Tom Etheridge, Managing Director, Market Data, brings twenty years of experience as an implementer, manager and consultant in the financial industry, with a focus on technology and market data infrastructure. Tom has led multiple market data initiatives for global investment banks. He has a comprehensive understanding of front-office needs as well as operational and performance requirements which he uses to evaluate and implement new market data services.
Prior to joining Jordan & Jordan, Tom served as Senior Vice President of Infrastructure Planning for Citadel Investment Group and Director of Capacity Planning and Support Services for the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Tom also served as exchange representative on the OPRA Technical Committee and the FIF Market Data Capacity Planning Committee. Tom holds a BA degree from Kalamazoo College.
Tim Glenister, Managing Director, Market Data, has fourteen years experience in technology and financial services. Utilizing his expansive knowledge of the market data distribution lifecycle, Tim has led engagements for investment banks, hedge funds, vendors, and exchanges. In recent engagements he assisted firms with market data cost and process optimization, conducted requirements and vendor analyses, led multiple market data application assessment engagements, and developed automated vendor and exchange reporting processes to help firms achieve better compliance with data provider policies. Leveraging his business analysis experience and technical expertise, he has written for Inside Market Data on the compliance challenges facing firms developing market data redistribution systems.
Prior to joining Jordan & Jordan, Tim was Director of Technology for LifeServ Corporation. He holds a Bachelors degree in English and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame.
Courtney McGuinn, Operations Director of FIX Protocol Ltd., is responsible for meeting the operational and strategic needs of the FPL organization and the FIX Protocol. Courtney manages the global resources of FPL including staff and service providers in London, New York, and Asia.
Prior to this role, Courtney was involved in various engagements for Jordan & Jordan which have included conducting comprehensive market research to uncover opportunities in the financial marketplace and assisting in the selection of suitable technology solutions. She was also a lead trainer during a nationwide rollout of a branch office account executive workstation, demonstrating and assisting new users on the system. Courtney holds a BA degree from Rutgers College.
Michael O'Conor, Senior Consultant and Director of Jordan & Jordan's Enterprise Compliance Solution (ECS), has worked with a number of our clients to improve their order management and order routing processes, and increase the cost effectiveness of their US equity trading operations. With a focus on regulatory compliance requirements and trade reporting, ECS assists broker dealers in meeting the challenges associated with Reg NMS, Best Execution, OATS and ACT. Michael is recognized as an industry leader in promoting electronic trading, buy-to-sell-side connectivity and the use of standardized messaging. Michael's expertise in electronic trading platforms for Cash Trading, Program Trading, IOIs, Allocations, Fixed Income, Financial Futures & Options, Algorithmic Trading and Direct Market Access provides deep insight into trading platforms and market practices for many types of instruments.
Michael served on the Board of Directors of the NASDAQ Exchange from 2008 to 2010. He served as the Sell-Side chair of the Americas FIX Committee and was the inaugural chair of the FIX for Fixed Income Committee. Michael also served as the Inaugural Chair of the Global Steering Committee of FIX Protocol Ltd. Michael joined Jordan & Jordan after holding the position of Senior Vice President, Director of Electronic Services for Chapdelaine Institutional Equities. Prior to Chapdelaine, Michael was Managing Director at Merrill Lynch & Co., where he was responsible for design, development and deployment of electronic services connectivity to support Merrill's institutional trading clients worldwide. Michael received a BS in Management from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY and a MBA from Adelphi University.
Kathy McGovern, a Director at Jordan & Jordan, leads resource development for the firm and has over 10 years experience in managing relationships with executive clients that include leading broker dealers, exchanges, hedge funds, investment management firms and the vendors that serve the financial services industry. Kathy is responsible for managing the program office of the Research Entitlements Consortium and providing support for RIXML. In addition, Kathy manages the marketing initiatives at J&J, from internal business development to marketing projects for J&J's industry association clients. For five years, Kathy served as Director of the FPL Americas Electronic Trading Conference and supervised the sales, marketing and strategic planning of the event.
Prior to joining Jordan & Jordan, Kathy spent two years at Source Services specializing in Accounting and Finance. Kathy holds a BA degree from La Salle University.
